OP-80a Reproduction Tape Reader - Assembled
OP-80a Reproduction Tape Reader - Assembled OP-80a Reproduction Tape Reader - Fully Assembled

Designed to look as close to the original as possible although the use of modern optical sensors provide a reader that is generally much easier to use.

A custom sensor array has been designed to mimic the appearance of the original but has tape guides to provide a much more consistent operation.

The reader is complete with a custom 3D printed case.

I recommended that a copy of the original OP-80a manual is downloaded for information on how to use this reader (this is available in the download section of this web site).

This is a full kit of parts to construct an OP-80a reproduction tape reader.

It has been designed to look as close to the original as possible although the use of modern optical sensors provide a reader that is generally much easier to use.

This is a 16 way ribbon cable and header assembly which is suitable for connecting the OP-80a Punched Paper Tape Reader which can also be purchased from JMPrecision.

If you have a punched paper tape reader (see our OP-80a reproduction kits listed elsewhere on ebay) you may need to punch tapes in order to make use of it.

Unless you also have a tape punch then this can present a problem.
