Science of Cambridge MK14 bare pcb - Gold Plated
SPECIAL OFFER PRICE (Usual price £46.50)
The Microcomputer Kit 14 (MK 14) was Sinclair's (at that time called “Science of Cambridge”) first computer. Based on the National Semiconductor SC/MP processor it was sold as a kit but has been unavailable for decades.
The MK14 was an ideal kit for getting into microprocessor systems and was very popular at the time but is now a rare and much sought after item. Because of this the prices for old units have soared even if one can be found.
The pcb offered here is a clone of the revision 0 MK14 pcb with the layout following the original layout as closely as possible. The main change has been to substitute the unreliable rubber pad type pcb contacts with footprints for readily available push button switches.
This is an ideal board for anyone wanting to build their own MK14 or if you have many of the required parts on an old pcb that is beyond repair.
All the component parts required to build the Mk14 can still be found and this pcb provides the missing part.
This is a high quality double sided board with solder resist on both sides and silk screen on the component side.
