The ultimate beginners choice. The ESKY Lama 2 V3 is a stable helicopter that is very manouverable too. A dream to fly from the first minute to the last. Many expereinced pilots have begun with the Lama and progressed to more advanced machines.

The Co-Axial twin motor system allows for a suprising level of agility on a 4 channel helicopter. The Lama has strong following with fantastic community of `Modders `. Many choose to upgrade and rework there Lamas to add a spirit of indivudalism to their favourite machine. This model is a first choice for the beginner and favourite for all the dab hands!

Since you probably won't be able to use the helicopters in the actual store, it is sometimes better to read about them online and then order them through the company. Yes, you may require to pay a bit extra for shipping, but I think it is worth it. Then when you receive the remote control helicopter, you can immediately take it out to your back yard and see how it performs.

Whatever you do, make sure you research it well and buy your helicopter from a reputable company, because you certainly don't require to must return it soon after you purchase it. Your best bet would probably be Radio Shack if you require to receive a lovely deal, but you could also try the Discovery Store or even Brookstone if you are looking for a model that will impress people.

Like the Blade MCX the Evo Flight Mini Stinger has a proportional four channel radio. Four channel control means that pilots can fly the helicopter with four dimensions of freedom. The Evo Flight Mini Stinger can fly up/down, rotate left/right, pitch forwards/backwards, and bank left/right. With a four channel radio you can precisely control the Evo Flight Mini Stingers’ movement through all three dimensions. With a rotor size of 188mm (7.4”) and a length of 213mm (8.4”) this helicopter can easily fit in the palm of your hand.

The coaxial rotor design of the EVO Flight Mini Stinger provides this helicopter with great stability, and eliminates the need for a separate tail rotor to control yaw (rotation about the main rotor axis). The main rotors spin in opposite directions, canceling out rotor torque caused by their rotation. Coaxial RC helicopter are great for flying indoors, because of their stability and the precision control provided.

The Evo Flight Mini Stinger uses a tiny 1 cell lithium polymer battery for power. Unlike most micro RC helicopters, the battery is removable and interchangeable. Each cell provides 3.7 volts of power with a capacity of 110 mAh (Milli ampere hours). You charge the battery using the included transmitter, which runs off four “AA” alkaline batteries. A typical charge takes about 30 minutes and provides an average flight time of 6 to 8 minutes. Because the battery is interchangeable, we recommend that you purchase an extra so that you can use one while the other is charging.

The New SYMA V3 LAMA CO-AXIAL 2 Channel Twin Blade Helicopter. It is the best quality and best flying twin blade helicopter on the market. Not to be confused with the toy twin blade helis, long lasting lithium battery. This is the V3 which is the latest model with many improvements and upgrades. Twin blade helicopters can been flown by anyone with minimum practice and are a great way to get into the hobby. Cushioned Landing Gear Technology For A Softer Landing. You can have all the fun and thrills of flying a proper RC helicopter but without the hours of practice. Excellent for beginners & Pro's, There are many twin blade helicopters on the market now but the Lama V3 is in a league of it's own with much better performance and agility. Complete Kit, Ready to Fly, only required 8 AA batteries for the transmitter to start flying)

electric rc helicopters have become very widely available and much easier to fly than ever before, making them the ultimate 'must have' radio control model and bringing countless new people to the rc flying hobby.

As a result, they now make up the fastest growing sector of the hobby, even overtaking airplanes in some parts of the world, and the examples shown on this page are some of the helicopters that have been responsible for this massive explosion in popularity.

Essentially there are three groups of electric rc helicopter - coaxial, Fixed Pitch and Collective Pitch, the latter two being commonly abbreviated to FP and CP respectively.

I recently purchased what I believe to be the nemesis of my life, (other than my mother-in-law). So, therefore, I am going to need a lot of 600mm WOODEN blades (hopefully it will not get much worse than this). I am also desperately looking for a training gear set-up for this non-micro heli. All I can find is for the Trex 450 size. But I am not sure it will work for a 50 size chopper. I have looked everywhere. Can you steer me in right direction?

Look onto HorizonHobby.com. E-Flite is very good brand. Last I checked, people bought these aircrafts in the UK. These helicopters are simple to fly.

Check out the Blade CX2 if you are just starting out. They have good range, and a good radio system.

If you are going to something intermediate-Pro, check out the Blade CP Pro 2. Good Radio, Good headling Lock Gyro, and lots of fun. Also, these fly well a little over 10 minutes.

The technology demonstrator is based on an S-300C light helicopter, with a 190-horsepower electric motor replacing the standard piston-engine and lithium ion battery packs added to either side of the cabin. The result is a significantly more efficient system that – although it's expected to fall short of typical helicopter performance when the first flight takes place later this year – is just the tip of the iceberg for the new era of manned electric rotorcraft.

Along with the electric motor and battery packs, the demonstrator includes a new digital motor controller and next generation cockpit display. The drive train, rotors and flight controls from the S-300C have been retained and very little has been changed on the airframe, as the electric motor has been designed to pick up the same hard points as the piston engine it replaces.
